For someone who's lived in the freezing conditions of UK and sweltering conditions of India here's the lowdown, UK winter Nov-April 20-50F India winter Dec-Jan 60-90F UK summer July-Aug 60-80F India summer April-Sept 90-120F. UK is just below the arctic circle and India is just above the equator. In UK winter is 6 mths long and in India summer is 6 mths long. In UK they all rush to the beaches in summer, in India they all stay away from the beaches in summer. The attached pic shows the world after the man-made polar shift caused by climate change with Antarctica on the equator! Tony
